Jalons Restaurant

is this the worst restaurant in liverpool? we booked this place for tonight for a family celebration, giving 3 weeks notice for a party of 34.

family members had travelled from various parts of the country for what should have been a night to remember, and it was certainly that.

the meal was booked for 8-30 and we were given our table at 9-00.

the first course was brought at 10-00 for half of our party and at 10-15 for the others.

the main course was not served until 10-30.

a complaint to the manager brought the response "well, we are very busy tonight".

what kind of an excuse is that?

while we were waiting, it was virtualy impossible to hold a conversation due to the loud music . this so called "restaurant "is no more than an overpriced , glorified pub.

after several members of our party complained again to the manager, he grudgingly knocked £100 off what would have been a near a £800 bill.

my advice to anyone thinking of going to jalons in smithdown road is to think again.

don't waste your money in this place.

Had best night out ever at this restuarant great food great live music and most of all fantastic value for money and what a list of acts appearing there and ex hollyoaks and brookside staff

I went to jalons with a large group of friends from work. i found the food to be excellent and the service great. The waiters were all nice and polite and one in particular was rather hot (ex-hollyoaks hunk). i would go back to just look at him.

Jalons is a restaruant we know well and love. The food was a little below par last night but we have on many previous occasions known it be of a high standard. The service was a little slow but again we know it is usually better so we'll give then the benefit of the doubt. We would recommend the restaurant as the ambiece is so good and the live music makes the atmosphere lively and jovial
