A friend and I had dinner at Mayur last night and I am won over ! The welcoming atmosphere was felt the second we arrived. While browsing the menu I had to ask the waiter for information on some ingredients as I am vegan and he was incredibly helpful and made sure to point out the dishes I couldn't eat. The menu offered a good selection without being overwhelming to choose from. As we were waiting for our starters we were offered poppadoms and dips to enjoy with our drink (the red wine was at the perfect temperature as soon as it was poured). I also took the time to notice how extremely clean the room was, from the floors to the tables and shiny cutlery/glasses. The decor was sophisticated and well balanced, authetic but not overwhelming at all. The food was exquisite and the portions perfect and well presented. Our table was cleared and the next dishes brought without waiting. We weren't rushed however and never interupted by pushy waiters fishing for compliments. Throughout the entire meal our waiter was very polite, helpful, smart and well mannered, things I am particularely picky about ! The check arrived with a comment card (but not enough space for the too many compliments I had to make !) and a take-away menu, which I kept after asking for an extra one. Even though a 10% service charge was included I felt sorry for not having any change to give to our waiter personally ! Mayur is my new indian take-away without a doubt and I will be sure to go back there and recommend it to everyone. I talked about it all of last night and still am today ! A wonderful evening, thank you to everyone at Mayur !

Booked a table for two on a busy Saturday evening. We were seated immediately and chose the set meal (non vegetarian). The food was beautiful, couldn't fault any of the food. We were given a breather between the starter and main course and when we asked if one of the main course dishes could be spiced up it was no problem at all. The only problem was that we couldnt manage most of the main course, however we were given a doggy bag and took the remainder with us. All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The owner of the restaurant came to speak with us at the end of the evening to ensure everything was OK with our visit (really nice touch). We will definately be returning and have recommended this restaurant highly to friends and family

A week ago I visited Mayur restaurant, out of just luck, as we walked past it.
My wife suggested that we give it a try. We opted for their normal menu, from which we both shared a starter platter. The lamb was one of the best I had eaten in a while. It was the fresh oven taste which I thought was just perfect.
I ordered fish curry for my mains, which was very nice, my wife had the usual lamb curry. We throughly enjoyed our meal also to the fact that at mayur the staff just let you
get on with the dinner instead of disturbing us during our meal.

was recomended to eat here as my partner had weeks previous and he had spoken to them and they said that they offer vegan food, which as i am vegan was pleased about
The venue is beautiful and crockery was different, however the basic principles of running a resteraunt and giving guests what they order they can not achieve
firstly waited 15 mins for our wine,
first course i was given a fish dish NOT what i ordered and i had eaten a mouthfull, for 17 years i have been vegi / vegan and never been given a non vegan meal. Imagine if i had an allergy?
the second course my patner recieved his mine 10 minutes later (obviously they have no regard for their customers)
we felt so disheartened by this terrible expereience,
we then asked for more drinks which after 20 minutes had not arrived and still had not arrived when we payed our bill.
Vegi / vegan people do not eat at this establishment as i have complete lack of trust with the incompetant staff who we had the misfortune of serving us on saturday night.
such a shame they cant get the basics right.
